A diploma or degree in a mechanical technology, such as, mechanic, machinist, welder, carpenter, plumber, equipment installer;
Leadership experience in managing workers in situations that involve construction equipment, hand tools, metal fabricating equipment or related enterprise;
At least 5 years for Diploma and 3 years for BA proficient experience in using hand tools, mechanical equipment and plumbing repairs;
Experience with rural technologies including water pumps, farm implements and related equipment installation and maintenance;
Experience in providing on-the-job training and teaching mechanics or other trade skills;
Basic proficiency in using computer programs for email, data recording, and writing reports;
Excellent oral and written communication ability in English;
Good interpersonal skill
Willingness to be based in a rural area and work with smallholder farmers

Knowledge and skills in the following areas is required: value chain analysis; market systems development; value chain financing and investment; and producer/marketing cooperatives, financial Inclusion, enterprise development, etc
Result-oriented, problem-solving attitude and ability to work with little guidance.
Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Knowledge of the local community’s language (Afaan Oromo) is essential.
Proven marketing and communication skills; ability to professionally and effectively communicate with individuals, groups and institutions at various levels.
